This didn’t used to hppen but the photoshop pencil will spontaneously change to an eraser. It is very distressing, but I can’t find a way to turn it off. The Adobe forums had lots of incorrect ideas and no solutions, so I’m reaching out here hoping someone knows. Thanks.
This is happening in Photoshop itself? Which Photoshop version is in use?
And there isn’t any issues with keys being pressed on your keyboard either?
Maybe try the Preferences reset for Photoshop:
How to do this – Press and hold Option+Command+Shift as you start Photoshop.
This reset relates to “general display options, file-saving options, performance options,
cursor options, transparency options, type options, and options for plug‑ins and scratch disks”
This does not affect or reset brush or stroke settings, plugins, saved color palette, or workspace settings.
This can sometimes help when general Photoshop system issues happen.
I am using the current CC version. I have noticed that it only happens when I’m pressing hard with the Apple Pencil. Where would settings for pressure be? Don’t see any in Astropad itself, either on the iPad or on my Macbook Pro.
