Netflix doesn't work when Astropad Studio is running

#1

I usually have something on in the background when I’m drawing. Then today I went to play something on Netflix, on my second monitor, and it wouldn’t play. I couldn’t figure it out. So I shut down my computer and tried again. It seemed to be working. Then I opened Astropad Studio and boom, Netflix stopped showing me an error message.

Does anyone know how to get around this, or why its happening?

A Netflix control to prevent recording, anything that sends the video to other device will block Netflix.

Which browser are you using? Safari is very very strict about enforcing HDCP. OTher browsers such as Firefox and Chrome aren’t so strict, and so you might still be able to use Netflix from one of those browsers while also running Astropad.

Hard to believe this is a year old. I installed Luna Display today and Netflix is a no go on both Safari and Firefox. (MacOS Mojave.)

Hey all, as Fluffy mentioned, Safari is very strict about HDCP compliance.

Latest versions of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome should work as they don’t aggressively check for HDCP.

For those of you who have Mozilla Firefox, what version of Firefox are you running? If Luna is unplugged, does it immediately work again?
