Astropad Studio constantly needing to force quit

Hey guys,

For the past couple days, I’ve been having a lot of issues where Astropad Studio has been freezing on the Mac side. I’ve had to force quit and restart it constantly. Has anyone else had issues like this?

Everything is up to date, Apple Pencil is charged. Devices have been restarted.

Thoughts?

Hi,

What Mac OS version is in use? And what other programs are running on your Mac?

Have you tried restarting the Mac in Safe Mode, and see if this still happens?

If you see a black screen on your iPad, when using Astropad while in Safe Mode, this is fine.
But see if the Mac still freezes.

How to restart in Safe Mode:
-Restart your Mac.
-Immediately after you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key.
-Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo appear on the screen.
To leave safe mode, restart your Mac without pressing any keys during startup.

Please let us know if the problem still happens or not, in Safe Mode.

macOS 10.13.5

I’m using with for Zbrush. Safari is open as well, but just in the background.

Yes I have tried using safe mode, and still had the same issue.

Thanks for testing this.

What is the model of your Mac?
Please screenshot “About this Mac”, it will help us get a better idea.
Is there plenty of storage space remaining on this Mac as well?

I’m having this same problem. I’ve just installed Astropad on my MacBook Sierra 10.12, and it kept unexpectedly quitting upon opening. I restarted in safe mode, and now it opens, but the Ipad display isn’t showing my MacBook screen, just black. When I restart in normal mode, the app quits unexpectedly without opening again.
