Running Astropad in portrait view

#1

This may be possible already but I can’t see any way to do it

It would be very useful to be able to set the workspace to a portrait orientation. My work is drawing comic books and it would help enormously to be able to see the whole page at full size on the iPad Pro. As far as I can see at the moment Astropad is set up to always run everything in landscape. Is it possible to have a portrait option?

There is no way at the moment, but it is a good idea. We will get there eventually :slightly_smiling:

Any updates on enabling portrait mode for Astropad? This would be hugely useful for my education project. Thanks.

So… it’s two years later

Any progress?

@youlam Both Astropad Standard and Astropad Studio now support portrait mode.

If you are not seeing this during use, check in your iPad’s Control Center
(more info here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202769 1)
and see if Portrait Orientation Lock is off, it has an icon with a rotation arrow surrounding a lock.

If it’s on, this will prevent the screen orientation from switching to portrait mode when rotated.
